Pitch-Out: Zac Adams by Brian Meyers 5/16/2011

Zac makes the perfect candidate for the Pitch-out for two reasons: 1.) He is no stranger to being picked on and ridiculed by people in the KWL (Marsz that means you) and 2.)He’s easy to get a hold of because he works for me! (This interview is on my dime, you are welcome!).

Only a few years removed from High school, Zac has switched from throwing strikes on the H.S bowling team and striking out with girls at the dance to throwing strikes in the KWL and striking out with college chicks (not sure if it’s because he is creepy or just weird, maybe both?).

Being borderline lazy, Floppy stuck to the slower moving games and

played Golf, Bowling and Baseball during his formidable teen years.   During his junior year, his baseball team finished the season 15-20 before winning 8 straight games to capture the State Championship (This is where I believe Zac developed is inconsistencies).  Despite the “State Champs” ring, he was still left without a Prom date.

Since Floppy was bad with the ladies, he spent his weekends playing wiffleball (good choice my man!).  He played for 2 seasons in the Osseo Yards wiffleball league, where he clearly was one of the best players (I know it’s hard to believe, but really, check out the website!).  After power through the ranks of double A wiffleball, he moved to Kalamazoo to join the big leagues (or because he came to Western Michigan University).

When Zac’s not playing wiffleball, he’s either at School, sleeping, eating peanut butter sandwiches, working at Jcr, playing video games or playing wiffleball.  His dedication to the “wiffle” lifestyle paid off in 2010 as he took home the AL Rookie of the Year while having a 2.69 Era, 67k’s, and hit .295.  All numbers he looks to improve upon in 2011!

If you could meet one celebrity, who would it be and why?
Marisa Miller, probably the hottest supermodel ever!

What team do you least like to face in the KWL? Why?
I just don’t like to play against Marz.

What is your most memorable moment from the KWL?
When Raber wouldn’t pitch to [Brian] so that he couldn’t beat him but we still won the game by a lot.

What MLB player would you like to challenge to wiffleball?
Tim Linceicum, trying to hit off of his delivery would be almost impossible.

Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?
My mom’s house.
