Underdogs Suffer Offseason Blow. by Brian Meyers 3/16/2013

In their first full season, Corey Butts and his fellow Underdogs finished 16-12 overall. The .571 winning clip was enough to clinch the AL south and give them their first playoff berth.

The success of their 2012 season was short lived as they received news on October 17th that Cory Schug would be forming his own team in 2013. The Underdog’s record uptick last season was largely credited to the emergence of Schug, one of the new stars of the KWL.

“Finding a sub 1.00 ERA pitcher in this league is not easy and replacing them is next to impossible! Back to being a true Underdog!” commented a rival AL Player.  The un-named player is correct, since 2006, only 10 players have managed to finish sub one!
