Andy Ross Says He's Done! by Brian Meyers 3/16/2013

Longtime KWL pitching star, Andy Ross, is saying he’s played his last season in the KWL.  “I just don’t have the time to commit and I feel like I’m letting my teammates down when I have to miss game nights” commented Ross.

A similar situation happened in 2009 when Ross announced his retirement.  But just as Spring Training was wrapping up, Ross returned.  Is he really done this time? “I’d say he’s pretty close to 100% sure” commented Friar Captain Kevin Marszalek.

Ross has been a key cog in the Friars’ success, including their 2010 championship.

“I don’t like the idea of Andy not playing.  He’s been doing this with me since the beginning” commented Commissioner Meyers. “I’ll do my best to talk him into playing again! I mean, does he really want to quit when he’s 1 K away from 500!?” he continued.
For now, the Friars are moving forward as if Ross is done.  “Of course he’s welcome back, we’d love to keep him!” said Kevin.  “But if he wants to play for someone else, we’ll make sure our bats are ready the day we see him!”

Career Numbers with Friars:
